A. Background of the Study
Entertainment has always been a part of us, ever since early times we humans are shown to find ways to entertain ourselves. Ever since the birth of modernism, entertainment branches into many form, one of this are games, simple games such as hop-scotch to sports like basketball and volleyball to mind games like chess, games has been with us. But due to the advancement of technology, games started to evolve as well.
Technology as one of the primary sources of innovation is becoming a tool in dispersing and disseminating knowledge and entertainment. And due to its advancement people incorporated gaming with technology into what we call video games. Game addiction may also be defined as a serious loss of control over gaming that leads to significant harm for the player in the real world.Most mobile games fall within a particular category. Some bridge different gaming styles and, thus, could appear under more than one category simultaneously. And others pioneer new approaches to electronic entertainment. Those often fall outside of any pre-conceived genre. If such a title becomes popular enough that others try to duplicate the experience, a new genre comes into being. Newly established genres can evolve into series of game techniques that can be later on used as a device in introducing different perspective and perception of gameplay and its environment. These particular duplications are innovative ideas of game developers and the opinions and criticisms of players. All throughout, games are not just a form of entertainment but also an art.

To develop a mobile game application that promotes the importance of proper waste management
b. Specific Objectives
To develop a side scrolling shooter game in a way that it is challenging and educational at the same time.
To provide relative information about waste management.
To formulate a good storyline that will encourage players to take care of the environment.
